Nordsee Ost Offshore Wind Farm
Nordsee Ost Offshore Wind Farm (NSO) is situated approximately 30 km north-east of the Helgoland island in the German North Sea.
RWE Innogy is the owner of NSO and 48 Senvion 6M (6,15MV) turbines has been installed - each covering the power consumption requirement equivalent to approx. 6,000 households.
On 11 May 2015, the wind farm was officially put into operation.
The Control Center for ‘Marine Coordination’ and ‘Operational and Maintenance’ is located at Helgoland.
Amrumbank Offshore Wind Farm
Amrumbank West is a 288MW offshore wind farm located in the North Sea, Germany. It is situated 35km north of Helgoland and 37km west of Amrum.
E.ON Climate & Renewables is the owner of Amrumbank Offshore Windfarm and will produce 720GWh of clean energy a year, which will be enough to power approximately 300,000 homes.
The wind farm includes 80 Siemens SWT-3.6-120 wind turbines rated at 3.6MW each.
The Control Center for ‘Marine Coordination’ and ‘Operational and Maintenance’ was in Hamburg, Germany.
DanTysk Offshore Windfarm
DanTysk Offshore Wind Farm (DTOW) is situated west of the island of Sylt and directly on the German-Danish border in the German North Sea.
Vattenfall is the owner of DTOW and the 80 Siemens 3,6MW turbines can provide up to 400,000 homes with green energy.
The Control Center for ‘Marine Coordination’ and ‘Operational and Maintenance’ is in Esbjerg, Denmark.
Sandbank Offshore Windfarm
Sandbank Offshore Wind Farm (SBOW) is situated west of the island of Sylt and close to the German-Danish border in the German North Sea.
Vattenfall is the owner of SBOW and the 80 Siemens 3,6MW turbines can provide up to 400,000 homes with green energy.
The Control Center for ‘Marine Coordination’ and ‘Operational and Maintenance’ is in Esbjerg, Denmark.
